So, it’s time again. Time to restart with all my former experience and see what I can do now.
So, I guess it’s time to say hi again. I’m Adam, lead throat thing for The Plastic Army. What is The Plastic Army? Right now, I’m not 100% sure. I’ll figure that out as I go, but I know what it has been.
The Plastic Army started off originally as “Go Plastic Army” and was a way for me and my best friend Dakota to start collecting ideas and content together because we wanted to be content creators. We did some YouTube stuff for a competition. We dipped our toes into photography (and honestly got some pretty cool stuff). And we started writing, well, I started writing. We had plans for comics. We did some reviews. We did a lot of stuff. And then time happened. And then Dakota passed away.
So, later, I started up The Plastic Army, letting Go Plastic Army be what we did together. But I also went back to school during all that and honestly didn’t have the time I wanted to do the things I wanted to do with this. When I started this site, I wanted to do youtube again, and I did for a little bit. I was inspired by what critical role was doing and wanted to get in on that. So there are five or so episodes of Tales from the Lore Axe out there, go watch them they were fun to do and I think one of the episodes was one of the best games I’ve ever DM’ed. But I also wanted to expand on that. Do a book club. Do side games. And, by that time, I knew I wanted to write. So I wanted to start writing some litRPG type stuff in the world we created. I have some rough drafts, and I might get back to those at some point. But once again, school was a bit much on top of all that. So I set the ideas aside and really concentrated on school.
But, now I’m done. Well, not really done as much as I’ve graduated. And I have some time again to try to pick this back up. But now I’m different, from time and experience. And I’m not sure where exactly I’m going this time. I still have a drive for some of the stuff I wanted to do, but I also have some new passions.
College gave writing experiences, both good and bad. But one of the things that really stood out to me was the opportunity to make a few podcast/radio essays. So I think that’s my first step into making something again. But the real first step is this. Putting back up the framework. Starting over with my experiences and building up from where I was last.
Now, lets see what I can do.
